Money and Us And Them as in the album The Dark Side Of The Moon sounded together to continue with the new theme Smell The Roses.
Brain Damage and Eclipse imitating Money and Us And Them were also heard united as on the original album with the construction of a large light pyramid with a rainbow light show.
After this, Waters had a few words of thanks with the public and made reference to the current political and war problems in the world to interpret below Mother.
Comfortably Numb closed this great concert with Waters coming downstage to greet the front row VIP attendees, while Kilminster wowed us with perhaps the best guitar solo ever.

After having attended three concerts by Roger Waters, one is cured of horror and knows that what one is going to find is a show of enormous dimensions, seasoned by music that, no matter how well-known it is always fascinates, and is performed by musicians of superior quality. Of course, everything is meticulous and there is no room for improvisation or surprise: nothing is out of the script, so if you are one of those who expects a return to the origins de Pink Floyd_cc781905-5cde- 3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_o long and progressive instrumental dalliances, better not spend money on these concerts. It is not about resurrecting a Pink Floyd (hopefully), but rather about preserving his legacy and paying tribute to it, a word that, unfortunately, is associated with Rock with too often in recent years.
Due to circumstances that are irrelevant to explain, I had to enjoy the concert seated, in the American style that I say, when what I like is to go down to the arena and move from one place to another and mingle with the people, but of course there is evil that does not come for good, this allowed me to focus more on the details of the stage and imbue myself with something more in the interpretations than when you are downstairs, sweating and, sometimes, chatting with the person next to you. The bad thing was that we were located in such a central place that, when the Battersea was deployed perpendicular to the stage, we lost part of the grandeur of the effect, but hey, you can't have everything...
First of all, it is worth highlighting the good shape in which he is Waters at his 75th birthday: he does not stop moving around the stage, absolutely involved, passionate, and with a voice who has kept enough of his youthful claw and fury, the one that was torn apart in the howls of Eugene or in the most provocative phrases of_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3d.bb3d. Upstairs, from where we were, the shaking of the speakers is not so well appreciated, but well, we also felt the decibelic power that Roger carries on his tour and that it is not Little thing.

On the high definition screen, a woman sitting on a dune facing the sea and with her back to us, livened up the wait for the start of the concert, which started 20 minutes late.
Darkness fell, and to the sound of the intro of "Speak to Me" the screen began to change to red colors a kind of meteorites traveled through space while the band was placed in their respective positions, giving way to "Breathe·, if I have to be honest I will say that Jonathan Wilson's voice seemed a bit pasty to me, soft without strength.
The earth in the shape of a metal ball, which moves away from the Battersea Power Station, gave way to "One These Days", played by two basses and with Jon Carin on slide guitar, I thought it was spectacular , even for my taste it surpassed the original version.
"Time" has arrived one of my favorite Pink Floyd songs that with its classic clocks turning on the screen reminded us of the inexorable passage of time, highlighting the powerful voices of the chorus girls and the magnificent solo by Dave Kilmister.
Once again the slide guitar introduced us this time to "The Great Gig in the Sky", the truth is the song that I liked the least of the concert, because the voices of Jess and Holly completely change the score of this beautiful song, something that I don't like; I want to hear the intonation that Clare Torry gives it in the original version.
Then with "Welcome to the Machine" I fulfilled one of my wishes, to see Roger perform this song live again, since since 2002 at the Palau San Jordi with the tour of In The Flesh? It has never been included in the Set-List in the seven concerts that I have attended on different tours.
From there, came the interpretation of the new songs, “Deja Vu”, “The Last Refugee” and “Picture That”, of these three the What I like the most and what I managed to record, is "Picture That", in this song I loved the choruses of Jess and Holly although I can't help but admit that the show took a downturn, because these songs don't drag the masses.
Enthusiasm builds with “Wish you Were Here” chanted by the audience, and on the center screen two hands coming together but coming undone before reaching touch, followed by “The Happiest Days of Our Lives” and parts 2 and 3 from “Another Brick in the Wall.
During these songs, a chorus of children dressed in orange uniforms and black hoods appeared on stage, imitating Guantanamo inmates. During the guitar solo they took off their uniform and wore black T-shirts with the word RESIST underneath.
And so we come to a 20-minute break.
Then some sirens announced that something big was happening and from the roof of the Wizink a mechanism hidden by flashing red lights was descending and came to a stop just a few meters from the heads of the track spectators, Little by little, as if by magic, the Battersea Power Station emerged from the bottom up, with its smoking chimneys and all.
Jonathan sang "Dogs", with a timbre quite similar to Gilmour and his hair blowing in the wind in imitation of David in his youth, several members of the band donned dog and pig masks.. Roger with a pig mask acted as a bartender and served glasses of champagne for everyone little by little he raised signs with criticisms such as: "Pigs rule the world" or "Fuck the pigs" after Roger raised his drink and toast to all attendees.
With "Pigs" came the moment that seemed to me the most sublime of the concert, because ever since I saw Roger in the Zócalo in Mexico, I had been dreaming of seeing this live, what can I say about the images of Trump on the screen, which this time was the Battersea?? Y of the flying pig?? A total enjoyment!!
I loved the sound of Kilmister's guitar that for me shone like the brightest of stars that night.
I thanked God for being present and being able to listen to this song, because we had overcome a great health problem... otherwise, we would not have been able to attend the concert.
The sound of the cash register announced that "Money" was now coming, the lyrics of this song written by Waters in 1973 are as valid now as then, for me the most remarkable thing was the guitar solo and the saxophone of Ian Ritchie .
The slow and melodic "Us and Them" arrives, sung by Jonathan, very well accompanied by Ian Ritchie on saxophone and the voices of Jess and Holly.
The Show continued with "Smell The Roses", another song from Roger's new album
A standing ovation as the bars of "Brain Damage" sound, which intersects with "Eclipse"...and ohh surprise, a giant three-dimensional prism appears formed by lasers that give the stage an unreal appearance, and on those present, to later change to the colors of the rainbow spectrum, being traversed by lasers of multiple colors imitating and perfectly surpassing the cover of "The Dark Side of the Moon"
Roger, visibly moved, thanked us for the warmth and love that the audience was showing..."in a world full of hate and evil, this is exactly what it takes to bring us closer to each other", he said... and many more things that I could not understand due to my poor knowledge of the English language. Then one by one he introduced us to his band.
Roger continued with three of his new songs "Wait For Her", "Oceans Apart" and "Part of Me Died", the truth is that I didn't like that when he was about to finish the concert, he incorporated these songs from the new album, I think it took away that part of going "In crescendo" from the fans' spirits when you see that the concert is ending...I would have liked more to hear "Mother", that was the one she sang the day before in the same place.
Finally the tremendous moment arrived with "Comfortably Numb", Roger went from one side of the stage to the other looking at his audience, and encouraging us to sing and collaborate, arms outstretched and hands up!!_cc781905- 5cde-3194-bb3b-136bad5cf58d_
While on the screen the hands that in "Wish You Were Here" could not join, now during the final solo, they meet! Roger takes advantage of these moments and comes down from the stage to also shake hands with a few lucky people in the VIP area.
Honorable mention for Kilmister, spectacular with his guitar! The best of the night!
Then with the greeting of the formation, the end of the concert came. With my hands already red from clapping so much, I saw a slightly hesitant Roger get off the stage.
Already in the silence and darkness of my hotel room, I could not fall asleep because the images and emotions experienced that night came and went through my head... and I ended up wondering how whenever I go to a Roger concert...will this be the last time I see you live??
