CONCERT CHRONICLE

Spectacular live concert by Roger Waters in Hyde Park within the British Summer Time festival where other artists also performed with our thanks to the festival organization for having invited us.

Ten minutes before eight o'clock in the evening, Roger Waters appeared on the main stage with his band to offer a concert similar to the setlist and staging of those performed throughout his tour, with the exception of being outdoors as in the last month in Paris and in 2016 in Mexico and the Coachella festival.

Waters appeared with the sunglasses because being a sunny day and with the ban in London that concerts cannot end after 10:30 p.m., there cannot be much delay in the start, so the magnificent projections on the screen did not take full advantage of the first part of the show.

The central screen was larger than any of the concerts offered in Spain and since the screens that came down from the ceiling simulating Battersea Power Station in the second part did not appear, four huge chimneys appeared from behind the scenes, creating an almost real image of contemplating the Authentic old power station today under restoration.

Algie, as usual, also walked through the London sky and the concert, as we have mentioned, except for performing outdoors, had the same sensations as those we were able to witness previously on this tour, so there is not much more to add in that aspect.

To perform Comfortably Numb and after introducing the band and a few words on politics, Roger put the Palestinian scarf around his neck that he has lately been wearing at some events such as the men's final at Roland Garros.

And although we left with a bit of disappointment, since there was a lot of expectation that his former members of the band would appear, at least Nick Mason, we were left with the great memory of having been with old friends and having met new ones, my regards for Nicola, Cinzid, Eric, Salvador, José and others who unfortunately for personal reasons at the last minute could not attend the concert.
