As happened with David Gilmour with his visit to the city of Pompeii in his concerts in July 2016, in an act at the town hall, Nick Mason has also been named Honorary Citizen of the city of Pompeii this afternoon.
Nick is performing tonight at the Teatro Grande located in the ancient ruins of the city as part of his tour, because the occasion has been used to give him this distinction.
The gratitude of the city of Pompeii to Pink Floyd for their feature film Pink Floyd Live At Pompeii is well known because without having been something on purpose, it still gave the city more publicity, since there are many fans of the band who travel to the city to visit the Amphitheater where the recording was made.
