Coinciding with Richard Wright's 80th birthday, on July 28, his first solo album, Wet Dream, will be reissued on LP, CD and Blu-Ray by Parlophone.

Recorded in France at Super Bear Studios which were also used for The Wall album and David Gilmour's first solo album.

It was produced by Richard Wright, accompanied among other musicians by Snowy White, who was with Pink Floyd the year before on the Animals tour and by Mel Collins, who participated in The Pros And Cons Of Hitch Hiking tour and in the album and tour Radio KAOS by Roger Waters.

The original cover concept was designed by Storm Thorgerson and photographed by Aubrey Powell for Hipgnosis.

The new cover, which refers to the nautical theme of the album, with a new image by photographer Costas Spathis and graphic design by Carl Glover. It has been commissioned and artistically directed by Gala and Jamie Wright, Richard's children and trustees of his estate, with never-before-published personal images and video from this period of his life.

This reissue, remixed by Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson, will include a new Dolby Atmos mix and a 5.1 mix on CD and Blu-ray.

The new mix also includes 2 extra passages of music that were edited from the original mix.

The release will be on July 28 on streaming and CD and the vinyl and Blu-ray editions will be released on September 29.

Steven Wilson comments on this reissue.

"Most people know that Pink Floyd have always been my favourite band, so it was a real honour to be commissioned by Richard’s children Gala and Jamie Wright to remix this relatively underrated and beautiful entry in the Floyd canon.

For anyone hearing the album for the first time it will become apparent just how much of Richard’s DNA runs through Pink Floyd.

His distinctive rhythm patterns, signature keyboard sounds, vocals, jazz influences, and style of play exude throughout."
